At a special Convocation held on Tuesday 16th January at Caerphilly Masonic Hall, hosted by Gelligaer Chapter No. 6298, the Provincial Grand Chapter of South Wales witnessed a momentous occasion as several Companions were appointed and promoted in recognition of their dedication and commitment to Royal Arch Masonry.
Under the leadership of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E.Comp. D. Gerald Rowbottom, the following Companions received notable appointments and promotions:
- E.Comp. Martyn P. Wake, PGStB, was appointed Provincial Grand Scribe E.
- E.Comp. J. Lyndon Howells, PGStB, earned a well-deserved promotion to 2nd Provincial Grand Principal,.
- E.Comp. Simon K.S. Daniel, PGStB, was appointed as 3rd Provincial Grand Principal.
- E.Comp. Philip Bevan, PGStB, received a promotion as the senior Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals.
- E.Comp. Christopher W. Eveleigh, PGStB, was appointed as the second Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals.
- E.Comp. Simon J. Francis, PPrGSN, was appointed as Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies.
The Provincial Grand Chapter of South Wales also had the honour of hosting the M.E. Third Grand Principal, E.Comp. Gareth Jones, OBE, as a distinguished guest at this memorable event. The appointments and promotions reflect the dedication and commitment of these Companions to the principles and values of Royal Arch Masonry, and they are sure to contribute significantly to Provincial Grand Chapter’s future endeavors.
