Meridian Chapter No.9603 held their installation Convocation and celebrated their 20th Anniversary since the Chapter Consecration.
M.E. GSupt, D. Gerald Rowbottom, relinquished his Honorary Membership and became a joining member, whereupon he was Elected and Installed as First Principal, by the DGSupt, E.Comp. R. Michael Coombes.
A goodly number of Companions were in attendance, followed by a 1st class luncheon in Swansea Masonic Hall.
The Chapter had recently been allowed a change of By Laws to meet just twice per annum, on the Third Tuesdays in October (Installation) and May (Exaltation and Election). The First Principal was most pleased to re-appoint EComp Richard T. Pelzer, PPrGSN as Director Ceremonies, a post he has held since the Consecration, in his 100th year.
