On Monday, 28th September, Gelligaer Chapter No. 6298 held its Annual Installation Convocation at Bargoed Masonic Hall.
The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E.Comp. Paul Raymond Clement, was on official duty and was accompanied by his Provincial Escort as he oversaw the evening’s proceedings.
The highlights of the evening were the Installation of E.Comp. Hywel Evans as First Principal and E.Comp. Jonathan Jones as Second Principal. Unfortunately, Third Principal Elect, Comp. Paul Dorset, was unable to attend due to other Masonic commitments.
A wonderful and heartfelt ceremony followed, with a particularly special moment coming when E.Comp. Ian Jones delivered the Explanation of the Purple Robe to his son, E.Comp. Jonathan Jones. It was a touching addition to an already memorable evening and one which made the ceremony especially meaningful for both father and son.
The evening was further honoured by the attendance of the Second Provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp. Simon K.S. Daniel, who is himself a member of Gelligaer Chapter.
Following the ceremony, companions enjoyed an exceptional Festive Board, with excellent food, great fellowship.
As anyone who has visited Gelligaer Chapter will know, the warm welcome, wonderful companionship and friendship that are always on offer, making it a pleasure to spend an evening in their company.
