On 16th October, Virtue and Hope Chapter No. 237 held its Annual Installation Convocation at Swansea Masonic Hall, bringing together a goodly number of Companions for an evening of Royal Arch tradition, celebration and fellowship.
The 3rd Provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp. Philip Bevan, accompanied by his Provincial escort, was on duty to oversee the proceedings.
During the Convocation, E.Comp. Terry Carroll was proclaimed as First Principal, E.Comp. Kevin Jones as Second Principal, and Comp. Dr Paul Lewis as Third Principal, marking the beginning of another year for the Chapter.
A particularly special moment in the evening came when E.Comp. Philip Bevan, on behalf of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, had the pleasure of presenting two 40-year certificates.
What made this presentation truly remarkable was the family connection between the recipients. Companions Philip and Jeffery Robbins are blood brothers, both having been exalted into the Royal Arch on 17th February 1986. Their shared milestone represents four decades of commitment and companionship, making the presentation all the more memorable.
The celebrations continued at the festive board, where good company and warm fellowship ensured the evening carried on long into the night.
It was a memorable occasion for Virtue and Hope Chapter No. 237, celebrating not only the installation of its Principals but also the remarkable Masonic journey of two brothers whose shared service spans 40 years.
Congratulations to the newly installed Principals, and sincere congratulations to Companions Philip and Jeffery Robbins on reaching this wonderful milestone.
