On Monday, 13th October, the Companions of North Glamorgan Chapter No. 4055 held their Convocation meeting at Merthyr Tydfil Masonic Hall.
With the launch of the 2032 Festival fast approaching, the Chapter was delighted to welcome the Festival Chairman, E.Comp. Robert G. Payne, who delivered an engaging talk on the forthcoming fundraising campaign.

E.Comp. Robert outlined the excitement surrounding the official Festival launch in January, which will take place at Hendre Lodge No. 3250, Cardiff. He emphasised the importance of continuous giving through the Festival Covenant and encouraged all Brethren and Companions to support their Lodge and Chapter Charity Stewards in their vital work.
The Chapter also received an informative and heart-warming report on the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) Impact Report for 2023–2024. It was noted that the Province of South Wales had benefitted from over £550,000 in support from the MCF, assisting Brethren and their families with daily living costs, healthcare, wellbeing, and family support.
Although the monetary target for the 2032 Festival is yet to be announced, the Chapter was reminded that the Festival will be in aid of the Masonic Charitable Foundation, whose life-changing work is made possible through the generosity and commitment of Freemasons.
Together, with the support of every Brother and Companion, we can ensure that the outstanding work of the MCF continues long into the future.
The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is the central charity for Freemasons in England and Wales. It’s funded entirely by Freemasons, their families, and friends. Its mission is to build better lives by helping people in need — both within the Masonic community and across wider society.
