On Tuesday, 13th January 2026, Wenallt Chapter No. 9082 held its Annual Installation Convocation at Cardiff Masonic Hall. The meeting proved to be a special occasion, marked by both celebration and reflection, and was conducted with dignity despite a palpable sense of solemnity.
The Convocation was honoured by the presence of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E.Comp. Paul R. Clement, who was accompanied by a full Provincial escort, including the Deputy Grand Superintendent, E.Comp. Martyn P. Wake, the Second Provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp. Simon K. S. Daniel, and the Third Provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp. Philip Bevan. The distinguished attendance also included Past Provincial Grand Principals, alongside numerous Supreme Grand Chapter and Provincial Grand Chapter Officers. Further honour was bestowed upon the Chapter by the presence of the Provincial Grand Master Designate.
A proposal was presented that Wenallt Chapter No. 9082 be detached from Wenallt Lodge No. 9082 and attached to the South Wales Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No. 8900. This followed a Notice of Motion duly given in Open Chapter on 18th June 2025.
During the course of the evening, the following Companions were appointed to office:
- E.Comp. Steven Waters was proclaimed as First Principal.
- E.Comp. Christopher Lee Davies was installed as Second Principal.
- E.Comp. Merrick C. Jones was installed as Third Principal.
All Companions present join in wishing the Provincial Grand Stewards Chapter No. 8900 a happy and successful turn of fortunes as this new chapter in their Masonic journey begins.
