E.Comp Paul R. Clement – Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, South Wales

Born in Swansea on 28th November 1957, E.Comp. Paul Clement was educated at Emmanuel Grammar School, now the Bible College of Wales. His early career was split between the hospitality and music industries—serving as a director of a catering company until 1990 and enjoying a parallel career as a professional musician from 1975 to 1993. A gifted performer from an early age, he won the All Britain Senior Accordion Championship at just 14 years old.

E.Comp. Paul is married to Molly and is a proud father to two children. Grace is a Dance Lecturer and Choreographer at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, while Lewis, a lawyer, is also an active Freemason—mainly in the London area. Paul had the honour of initiating Lewis into Freemasonry in Grafton Lodge No. 2347 in 2008 and has since installed him into numerous chairs across 14 Masonic units.

A passionate Freemason, Paul’s Masonic journey began in Corinthian Lodge No. 4917 (Swansea) on 7th December 1978. In the Craft, he has served with great distinction, having held the office of Grand Steward (2011–2012) and been appointed Past Grand Sword Bearer.

He was exalted into Corinthian Chapter No. 4917 on 20th November 1980 and now serves as the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for South Wales in the Holy Royal Arch.

His leadership and musical contributions span an extraordinary range of Masonic Orders:
