E.Comp. Martyn Wake – Deputy Grand Superintendent

E.Comp. Martyn Wake was Exalted into St Quentin’s Chapter No. 4778 on 15 November 1995. He was Installed as Most Excellent Zerubbabel in 2006 and Principal Sojourner in 2008.

He was appointed to the Acting Rank of Provincial Grand Standard Bearer in 2009, promoted to Past Provincial Grand Sojourner in 2012, appointed Provincial Grand Charity Steward in 2016, and served as Provincial Deputy Grand Scribe Ezra from 2017 to 2022.

In 2020, he was appointed in Supreme Grand Chapter to the Rank of Past Grand Standard Bearer. He was appointed 3rd Provincial Grand Principal in 2022, 2nd Provincial Grand Principal in 2023, and most recently Deputy Grand Superintendent in 2025.

He became a Joining Member of Hendre Chapter No. 3250 in 2009 and Lord Swansea Chapter No. 8364 in 2022.

In the Craft, W.Bro. Martyn was Initiated into Industria Cambrensis Lodge No. 6700 on 20 March 1992, progressing through all the Offices before being Installed as Master on 19 November 1999. He served as Secretary for eight years and Director of Ceremonies for three years.

He was appointed to the Acting Rank of Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2006, promoted to Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer in 2009, and to Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 2018. He was appointed Provincial Junior Grand Warden of the Province in 2021.

In Grand Lodge, he was appointed PAGDC in 2023.

He became a Joining Member of Hendre Lodge No. 3250 in 2008, serving as Secretary from 2015 to 2022. He is also a Founder Member of the Albert Edward Court Lodge of Research No. 9908, where he was installed as the Primus Director of Ceremonies, an office he held for two years.

In 2022, he became a Joining Member of Morganwg Lodge No. 5084 and Lord Swansea Lodge No. 8364.

In other Orders, he was Advanced into Cowbridge Mark Master Masons Lodge No. 1573 in 2004, becoming Master in 2015. He was appointed Assistant Director of Ceremonies in 2017 and subsequently promoted to Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer.

In Rose Croix, he was Perfected into Cowbridge Chapter No. 985 in 2005, Installed in the Chair in 2015, and promoted to the 30° in 2017.

He is also a Past Commander of the Llynfi Valley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No. 1592, having joined RAM in 2008.
