Widows Sons raise £1,000 for the RMBI Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court, Porthcawl

On Sunday, 25th September 2022, the Widows Sons held a ride from Aberdare to the RMBI Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court in Porthcawl.

A cheque was presented to the care home manager Mrs Alison Aberdeen for £1,000, in the presence of the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro. D. Gerald Rowbottom, accompanied by W.Bro Phillip Aubrey, Chairman of the The Association of Friends of the Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court, and W.Bro. Phillip Saunders, Provincial Grand Charity Steward.

The money was raised by the Widows Sons and their families from raffles that were held at various meetings and rides which were organised throughout the year, most notably was the recent and very successful Summer Rally held at Symonds Yat in Herefordshire.

The Widows Sons have nominated the RMBI as one of their main charities.

South Wales Provincial Grand Chapter is the representative association of the Widows Sons within the Province of South Wales.

Members of The Widows Sons are soon to become joining members of a Lodge within the Province of South Wales… more news to follow on this in due course.
