Dear Brethren,
With the greatest sadness, I bring you the news that W.Bro the Reverend Alistair E.J. Swinford, PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master has passed away; whilst at home with Myra on Wednesday 15th August 2017. Prior to being Installed as an Assistant Provincial Grand Master in 2012, W.Bro. the Reverend Alistair was the Provincial Grand Chaplain from 2007 to 2012.
It has been ordered by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master that Masonic Mourning shall consist of the printing of an `In Memoriam’ notice on the first summons issued for a meeting of each Lodge under the Provincial Grand Lodge, following this notification; (on 3 lines) such as:
W.Bro the Reverend Alistair E.J. Swinford, PSGD
Assistant Provincial Grand Master: 2012 – 2017
and that where his name and designation as Assistant Provincial Grand Master appears, this should remain and be printed in black, within a box, (on 1 line) such as:
W.Bro. William E. Jenkins, PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master
W.Bro. Roger F. Richmond, PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master
W.Bro. Alan Gardener, PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master
Members of each Lodge should stand in memory of W.Bro the Reverend Alistair E.J. Swinford, at its next meeting immediately after the Lodge has been opened and before any business is transacted (except for the reading of any dispensation required to regularise the holding of the meeting).
