The Gareth Duddridge Memorial Golf Tournament

The Gareth Duddridge Memorial Golf Tournament, organised by the Welsh Rugby Clubs Lodge No. 9986, was a tremendous success, bringing together friends, families and members of the wider community for a fantastic day of golf, camaraderie and, most importantly, fundraising for two very worthwhile causes.

Held in loving memory of Gareth Duddridge, the tournament raised an incredible £1,760, with £880 being donated to Tŷ Hafan and £880 donated to the 2032 Festival, supporting the Freemasons’ Charity.

The success of the day was made possible through the incredible generosity and support of so many people.

Our sincere thanks go to the Provincial Grand Master, who kindly presented the prizes and drew the raffle, and to Terry Mullins, who captured the day on camera while also keeping the players fuelled with cards, water and bananas!

A huge thank you also to Alison for doing a brilliant job collecting the raffle entries; Wayne Pike for supplying the Gareth Duddridge Memorial Cup; and Nick Frangoulis for beautifully refurbishing the trophy.

We are also extremely grateful to Ian Rogers for generously donating the first-prize golf bags and water, and to Wenvoe Castle Golf Club, Glamorganshire Golf Club and Machynlleth Golf Club for donating four-ball rounds, alongside everyone else who contributed raffle prizes.
