The Provincial Lead for Charity, W.Bro. Simon Daniel, recently joined radio broadcaster Peter Lewis on “In The Cooler” to discuss the incredible charitable work being undertaken by the Province of South Wales.
During the interview, Simon spoke about the recent £49,750 grant awarded by South Wales Freemasons to the BloomSpace Foundation, explaining how the funding will help support vital mental health and wellbeing services across South Wales.
Drawing upon his own experiences of working closely with charities, Simon shared how Freemasonry is committed to making a meaningful difference within our communities, supporting individuals and organisations through charitable giving, volunteering and practical assistance. The interview provides listeners with a first-hand insight into the values of Freemasonry and the positive impact it continues to have across the Province.

Letter of Thanks from the Senedd
Following the announcement of the BloomSpace grant, the Province was also honoured to receive a letter of thanks from the Office of Cai Parry-Jones MS, Member of the Senedd for Cardiff North-East.
In the letter, Casework Officer Kenzie Hollingsworth praised the significant investment being made into mental health and wellbeing services, describing the £49,750 grant as particularly valuable in supporting people of all ages, especially those who may not access more traditional mental health services.
The letter expressed a keen interest in learning more about BloomSpace’s work within Cardiff and the communities it supports, while also passing on Cai Parry-Jones MS’s congratulations to both BloomSpace and the South Wales Freemasons for making such an important contribution.
This recognition highlights the positive impact that Freemasonry continues to make across South Wales through its commitment to charity, community support and improving the lives of others.
