Bro. John Evans Celebrates 50 Years in Freemasonry

On Thursday, 8th April, a remarkable milestone in Freemasonry was celebrated at Bridgend Masonic Hall as Bro. John Evans marked 50 years of service to the Craft.

Bro. John’s Masonic journey began on 22nd February 1975, when he was initiated into Nottage Lodge No. 8452, Porthcawl. After 12 years of committed service there, he became a joining member of Adare Lodge No. 9247, Bridgend, where he has remained a loyal and respected brother ever since.

Although Bro. John has never pursued the Chair of King Solomon, his dedication to the Lodge has been unwavering. A regular attendee whenever work permits, he has contributed meaningfully to the life of the Lodge. As an architect by profession, Bro. John applied his skills to design both the emblem and banner for Adare Lodge, lasting legacies that continue to be admired today.

To mark this momentous occasion, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, had the honour of presenting Bro. John with his 50-year certificate and commemorative lapel pin on behalf of the R.W. Provincial Grand Master.

The evening was a fitting tribute to a Brother whose quiet dedication and creative contributions have enriched his Lodge for half a century.
