Have you ever experienced a Quarterly Communication of the Grand Lodge in London?
If the answer is no, the Provincial Grand Master would very much like to give you the opportunity to do so.
The PGM is keen that Brethren from across the Province have the opportunity to experience one of the great occasions in the Masonic calendar. The next December QC takes place on Wednesday, 9 December 2026, and with London looking particularly special in the run-up to Christmas, it is also an opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere, the company of your Brethren and the pleasure of making the journey together.
Importantly, Master Masons are also able to attend the QC. If you are a Master Mason and have never experienced Grand Lodge in London, this is an opportunity to do so.
To make this possible, the PGM has asked W.Bro. J. Lyndon Howells, PAGDC, to lead on the arrangements for the trip, including the organisation of coach travel from South Wales to London.
A Day in London with Your Masonic Brethren
The initial plan is to provide coach travel from locations across South Wales on the morning of the QC, bringing us together for the journey to London.
As this is a new initiative, we would first like to establish the level of interest. Depending on the number of bookings, we may be able to operate two coaches.
At this stage, we are considering a northern route, with pickups at Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd and Cardiff, and a western route, with pickups at Swansea and Bridgend. The final arrangements will depend on the level of interest from across the Province.
For those who have never attended a QC before, this is a chance to see Grand Lodge in London, experience the occasion for yourself and spend the day in the company of Brethren from across South Wales.
December is also a particularly enjoyable time to be in London. The Christmas atmosphere, decorations, lights and general bustle of the city all add something special to the occasion.
Most importantly, this is intended to be a day to enjoy together. The journey there and back will give us plenty of opportunity for conversation, good humour and getting to know Brethren from across the Province. We hope the coach will be filled with Brethren, from those who are regular visitors to Grand Lodge to those making their first visit.
The Grand Connaught Rooms Luncheon
Following the QC, the PGM hopes that Brethren will also take the opportunity to attend the Luncheon at the Grand Connaught Rooms.
The Luncheon is hosted by the United Grand Lodge of England, with further information regarding arrangements and bookings to be shared by UGLE in due course.
After the Luncheon
The day need not finish when the Luncheon does.
If time permits, the PGM would be delighted if Brethren would join him for a drink at a local pub after lunch. This will give us an opportunity to relax, enjoy some further conversation and perhaps raise a glass together before boarding the coach for the journey home.

The payment at this stage is for the coach travel only. It will give us a clear indication of the level of interest in the trip and enable us to make the necessary arrangements. Once we have a clearer idea of numbers, we will confirm the final coach arrangements, pickup times and any further details.
When completing your reservation, please select your preferred pickup location from the options provided. The final coach routes will be determined by the level of interest.
If you are a Master Mason, please make this clear when completing your reservation by stating that you are a Master Mason. The Provincial Office will then be able to assist with securing the necessary invitation for you to attend the QC.
