New strategic group puts South Wales’ newest Freemasons in the spotlight

The Province of South Wales has reaffirmed its commitment to its newest members through a Strategic Advisory and Action Group, championed by Assistant Provincial Grand Master Neil M Evans in his role as Provincial Lead for Membership and Chaired by the Provincial Grand Mentor, Dr Samuel L Williams.

Working alongside the Province’s Light Blues organisation, South Wales’ Clwb Colonnade Club, the group will coordinate initiatives designed to enhance and support the work of Lodge Mentors and Membership Officers across South Wales. By bringing together membership, mentoring and Light Blue engagement, the StAA Group aims to ensure every Brother receives the guidance, encouragement and opportunities needed to thrive in Freemasonry.

If you’re passionate about Mentoring, and or improving our members’ experience in general please contact the team via the Provincial Grand Mentor by emailing mentor@nullsouthwalesmason.com to share your ideas or offer practical support.

Building on the success of the Province’s successful Light Blues festival in June, preparations are now underway for a further Light Blues Demonstration of the 3rd Degree at Loyal Cambrian Lodge No.110 on 1st October. Reflecting on the initiative, APGM Neil M Evans said:

“Supporting our newer members is one of the most important investments we can make in the future of Freemasonry. Every Brother’s journey is unique, and I want every Light Blue Mason to know there is always someone they can turn to for advice, encouragement or simply a friendly conversation.

“I am honoured to champion this initiative and look forward to working closely with our Provincial Grand Mentor, the Clwb Colonnade Club, and Lodges across South Wales. There is tremendous enthusiasm among our newer members, and together we can build on that energy by creating meaningful opportunities for personal development, participation and lasting friendships.”

Chairman of the Clwb Colonnade Club, Luke Scowen, also welcomed the strengthened partnership. He said: “Neil and Sam have always been tremendous advocates for Freemasonry, particularly when it comes to supporting newer members. The Club is delighted to be working within and alongside the StAA Group as we continue to create opportunities for our Light Blue Brethren to build friendships, broaden their Masonic knowledge and become active participants in the life of the Province.”
