Pictured from the Lord Swansea Lodge April meeting is the Worshipful Master, John TJ Davies donating £1,500 to the South West Wales branch of the Motor Neuron Disease Association.
This followed a presentation by Ms Janet Fisher the Manager of the Association accompanied by Mr Paul Mason a volunteer and support person.
The talk was interesting and at the same time chilling how quick the disease can take hold and rapidly decline the patient’s quality of life leading quite quickly to its sad conclusion.
The Association has been set up to support sufferers and their families with equipment, counselling and support for the surprisingly short period between diagnosis and death.
