Worshipful Brother Ralph Prole recently celebrated an incredible milestone, 50 years of dedicated service to Freemasonry.
W.Bro. Ralph began his Masonic journey on 12th May 1975, when he was initiated into Owain Glyndwr Lodge No. 8015, Cardiff. Having steadily progressed through the various offices, he attained the Chair of King Solomon on 9th September 1985, and once again in 2008 and 2015.
In June 1983, Ralph became a joining member of the Lodge of St. Andrew with Oriel No. 8934, where he served as Junior Warden (2000), Senior Warden (2001), and Worshipful Master (2003). He later became a joining member of Hendre Lodge No. 3250 in 2013.
Following the sad return of the warrant of Owain Glyndwr Lodge No. 8015 in 2017, Ralph joined Emerald Lodge No. 5907, where he continues to be a valued and active member.
Ralph’s long-standing dedication and service have also been recognised within Provincial Grand Lodge, where he was appointed Past Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in 1991, and subsequently promoted to Past Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works in 2007.
Throughout his Masonic career, W.Bro. Ralph has exemplified the very best of Masonic values, loyalty, dedication, and a readiness to serve. Always willing to step in and help at a moment’s notice, his reliability and depth of experience make him an invaluable asset to any Lodge. Known for his calm presence and commitment to upholding tradition, Ralph’s quiet strength and steady leadership continue to inspire his Brethren.
To mark this remarkable achievement, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Robert G. Payne, had the honour of presenting Ralph with his 50-year certificate and lapel pin, surrounded by his Brethren at Emerald Lodge.
W.Bro. Robert. G Payne, himself a Past Master of Emerald Lodge, expressed heartfelt congratulations, saying:
“Ralph, I know that I speak for all Brethren when I say that Owain Glyndwr Lodge, Emerald Lodge, the Province of South Wales and Freemasonry in general have been most fortunate to have you as one of our own for the last 50 years. We all truly appreciate your dedication, to Owain Glyndwr Lodge, to Lodge of St. Andrew with Oriel, to Hendre Lodge, and finally to Emerald Lodge, as well as to the many other Orders in which you play such an active role. You are an inspiration to us all.”
