New Master Installed at Penarth Lodge and a donation to Tercentenery Fund

On Tuesday, 14th October, the brethren of Penarth Lodge No. 4113 gathered at Penarth Masonic Hall for their annual Installation Ceremony.

The Lodge was honoured by the presence of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, who was accompanied by his Provincial escort, W. Bro. Merrick Jones, ProvGDC, and W. Bro. Lyn H. Jones, ProvGStwd, to oversee the proceedings.

Penarth Masonic Hall, arguably one of the finest in the Province of South Wales, provided a fitting and distinguished setting for such a special occasion.

The Installing Master, W. Bro. Richard J. Shumack, conducted the ceremony with great skill and dignity, installing his successor, W. Bro. Paul Corcoran, in an excellent manner that set the tone for a memorable evening.

The festive board that followed was filled with warmth, laughter, and genuine fellowship, qualities for which Penarth Lodge is well known. During the evening, the newly installed Worshipful Master was delighted to present a cheque on behalf of the brethren of Penarth Lodge to the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, in his capacity as Tercentenary Chair.

A notable absentee was W. Bro. Gordon Shumack, father of the Installing Master. His humour and good company were greatly missed by all present. The brethren extend their very best wishes to Gordon for a speedy recovery, he remains firmly in our thoughts and prayers.
