50 Years of Dedicated Craft Service from Aberdare Mason

At a recent meeting of Aberpennar Lodge No.6354, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, bestowed a prestigious honour upon W.Bro. Gordon Davies Evans. The meeting marked the presentation of a 50-year certificate and lapel pin, acknowledging W.Bro. Gordon’s remarkable commitment to Freemasonry.

W.Bro. Gordon’s Masonic journey began with his initiation on December 18, 1973. His dedication to the craft was evident as he ascended to the Chair of King Solomon on October 29, 1986. Over the years, W.Bro. Gordon’s contributions extended beyond Aberpennar Lodge. On October 18, 2002, he joined the Lodge of Benevolence No. 7305, assuming the role of Charity Steward on October 16, 2009.

The recognition of W.Bro. Gordon’s service also reached the Grand Lodge, where he was invested as PAGDC in London on April 24, 2002.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the Worshipful Master of Aberpennar Lodge, W.Bro. Gary Andrew Jenkins, who proudly sat alongside W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig and the honouree, W.Bro. Gordon Evans.
