On Friday, 9th May 2025, Lodge of Benevolence No. 7305 hosted its annual election meeting at Bridgend Masonic Hall, a distinguished event reserved exclusively for Grand Lodge Officers. The evening was marked by a series of important announcements and inspiring presentations.
W.Bro. Dr Akram Baig, AProvGM and Tercentenary Chair, delivered a focused and insightful presentation on the upcoming 2027 Tercentenary celebrations. He highlighted the exceptional work being undertaken by his committee and the remarkable efforts of the Festival Area Chairs, their deputies, and wider teams across the Province.
Following this, AProvGM and Chair of the 2032 Festival, W.Bro. Robert G. Payne, provided an engaging overview of the forthcoming Festival, scheduled to launch at Hendre Lodge No. 3250 in January 2026. He stressed the importance of sustained giving and urged all Grand Lodge Officers to lead by example in supporting and encouraging their Lodge Charity Stewards. Key individuals have already been identified for roles within the Festival Committee, with formal announcements to follow.
The Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Paul Marshall, was pleased to announce that W.Bro. Jeffrey Coles will succeed him as Worshipful Master and will be installed on Friday, 17th October 2025.
The evening concluded with a moment of gratitude as the Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. D. Gerald Rowbottom, formally dedicated a new honours board to Lodge of Benevolence. Special thanks were extended to W.Bro. Roger David of Adare Lodge No. 9247 for his exceptional craftsmanship and generous donation of the hand-crafted board.
