Message from the Chair of the Province’s Tercentenary Celebrations

Brethren and Companions,

As we continue our journey toward the historic celebration of 300 years of Freemasonry in South Wales, I wish to extend my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to every Lodge and Chapter across our Province. Your outstanding generosity, reflected in your donations, your festive board raffles, your collections, and the countless quiet efforts that so often go unmentioned, has now enabled us to reach the necessary funds to mark this momentous occasion in a manner truly worthy of our heritage. We will therefore conclude fundraising for the Tercentenary Celebrations at the end of 2025, and look forward to the launch of the 2032 Festival in the new year.

This achievement is far more than the gathering of financial support; it is a testament to the unity, commitment, and enduring Masonic spirit that has characterised South Wales for generations. Every contribution, whether large or small, has carried with it the same spirit of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Goodwill. Together, you have demonstrated the strength of our shared values and the depth of your dedication to the Craft and Royal Arch.

Reaching this milestone allows us not only to celebrate our past but also to look confidently towards the future. Our Tercentenary Celebrations are an opportunity to honour the brethren and companions who have built our Province over three centuries, while also inspiring the next generation who will carry our traditions forward. Your support ensures that these celebrations will be both dignified and memorable, reflecting the rich history and vibrant life of Freemasonry in South Wales.

On behalf of the Province’s Joint Executive, the Area Chairs, and the Tercentenary Celebrations Committee, I offer my profound gratitude for your generosity, your enthusiasm, and your continued commitment. It is through your collective efforts that we will be able to commemorate this landmark with the respect, pride, and sense of unity it so richly deserves.

I look forward, with great anticipation, to celebrating this historic occasion with you all, as one Province, united in purpose, bound by friendship, and strengthened by the timeless principles of our Order.

With fraternal appreciation and every good wish,

W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, CStJ, PSGD
