Llangattock with Howardian Lodge No. 2547 hold annual Installation

On Monday 23rd February, Llangattock with Howardian Lodge No. 2547 held their annual Installation Ceremony at the iconic Cardiff Masonic Hall.

The Lodge was honoured by the presence of Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Merrick C. Jones, who was accompanied by his Provincial escort and on duty to oversee proceedings.

It has now been a year since the Lodge was repurposed and reintroduced as “The Scouting Lodge.” Over the past twelve months, clear progress has been made, with further plans in place to continue attracting Brethren with an interest or background in Scouting and affiliated organisations such as Beavers and Cubs. Those wishing to learn more are encouraged to contact the Lodge Secretary.

The ceremony itself was a wonderful spectacle. Installing Master, Piers Hallihan, carried out his duties with great skill and sincerity as he installed W.Bro. Nicolas Gregory, Past Master of Princes Lodge No. 9036, a well-known and highly respected Freemason within the Province of South Wales.

The occasion was further honoured by the presence of W.Bro. Roger Richmond, Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master and a valued member of the Lodge.

Following the ceremony, the festive board proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable occasion, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and heartfelt speeches. The evening was rounded off with the familiar and much-loved Scouts’ motto shared among those with a connection, if you’re unsure what that is, perhaps it’s time to pay a visit… you certainly won’t be disappointed.
