Henry Pendrill Charles Lodge No. 3769 – a touching and memorable Installation.

Henry Pendrill Charles Lodge, No. 3769, held their annual Installation Convocation at the splendid Caerphilly Masonic Hall on Wednesday 1st October 2025.

The Lodge was honoured by the presence of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, CStJ, who was accompanied by his Provincial escort, W.Bro. Robert L. Cook, ProvAGDC, and W.Bro. David J. Passey, ProvGStwd, to oversee the proceedings.

The Brethren witnessed a heartfelt and memorable ceremony conducted by the Installing Master, W.Bro. Dean R. Ackery, whose sincerity and dedication shone throughout the evening.

A particularly special moment came when W.Bro. Andrew Lee was installed into the Chair of King Solomon. Watching with great pride was his father, W.Bro. Jeffery Lee, a distinguished Grand Officer and member of the Lodge, a true family milestone within the Craft.

Family connections continued to be a theme of the evening when the Immediate Past Master, W.Bro. Dean R. Ackery, was presented with his Past Master’s Jewel by his brother, W.Bro. Stuart Ackery. This touching presentation served as a fitting tribute to the strong bonds and family traditions that enrich the Brethren of Caerphilly Lodges and Chapters.

Following the ceremony, the Festive Board proved to be a joyful occasion, filled with laughter, fine dining, and the warmth of fraternal friendship. During the evening, the newly Installed Worshipful Master had the pleasure of presenting W.Bro. Dr. Akram Baig, CStJ, with a cheque for £200 on behalf of the members of the Lodge in support of the Tercentenary Fund.

The Province of South Wales eagerly looks ahead to 2027, when we will celebrate and commemorate 300 years of Freemasonry in South Wales. As Chairman of the Tercentenary Committee, W.Bro. Dr. Baig, CStJ, has been working tirelessly with his team to ensure that the celebrations will be memorable and meaningful for every Brother across the Province.
