Domestic Joy at Lodge of Round Table No. 9549

On Friday, 10th October, the Lodge of Round Table No. 9549 held a meeting that will live long in the memory of all who attended.

Within the historic surroundings of Cardiff Masonic Hall, and in line with the United Grand Lodge of England’s directive encouraging and supporting multiple ceremonies, the Lodge conducted an impressive Triple First Degree Ceremony.

The evening was a wonderful spectacle, it is not often that brethren have the opportunity to witness such an occasion, let alone take part in one.

High praise must go to the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. John J. Bell, his Wardens, officers, and members of the Lodge, who all played their part in ensuring that our newly initiated brethren, Bro. Thomas Williams, Bro. Christopher John Maidment, and Bro. Jake Cullen, enjoyed a truly unforgettable evening.

It was clear from the very start that meticulous planning and rehearsals had taken place prior to the meeting.

Special thanks are due to the Lodge Preceptors, W.Bro. Bill J.C. Thomas (President), W.Bro. A. Duncan Kennedy (Vice President), and W.Bro. Paul Bartley, for their due diligence and careful orchestration of the ceremony.

The Lodge was further honoured by the presence of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Robert G. Payne, who was warmly welcomed and received honorary membership of the Lodge. The evening also included a successful ballot for a joining member, adding yet another cause for celebration to an already momentous occasion.
