Today, we received from the South Wales Mark Master Masons’ Provincial Office confirmation that W.Bro. Christopher M.L. Davies, PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master is to be appointed as the Grand Director of Ceremonies in the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of England and Wales and its Districts and Lodges Overseas. This appointment is subsequent to the appointment of R.W.Bro. Francis Charles Spencer to the office of Assistant Grand Master, filling the vacancy left by the recent sudden passing of R.W.Bro. Stephen Davison.
This is a tremendous appointment for our Assistant Provincial Grand Master, and the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, and his Executive, are delighted for him. I am sure that we all wish him well in his new role. He is of course, also the Grand Director of Ceremonies in the Order of the Secret Monitor.
I am also delighted to inform you that W.Bro. Robert G. Payne, PAGStB, Assistant Provincial Grand Master has been appointed to the Fundraising Committee of the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF).
The fundraising team helps to coordinate and encourage the fundraising efforts of donors, as well as manage legacy donations. We are of course aware that the MCF is funded entirely through the generosity of Freemasons and their families.
The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, and his Executive, congratulate both Assistants on their prestigious and important appointments and look forward to following their progress in these new roles.
