On Saturday the 14th of June, Bridgend Masonic Hall welcomed a wonderfully organised and well-received seminar delivered by the Provincial Strategy Team. The session was led by the Membership Executive, Assistant Provincial Grand Master R. Michael Coombes, alongside the Provincial Grand Membership Officer, W.Bro. Duncan Kennedy.
A wide range of important and timely topics were discussed, including:
- Lodge Planning
- Attracting via Social Media
- Engagement with the Royal Arch
- Retention – how we care for and support new Brethren
- Retrieval – understanding why members leave and how we can prevent it
- New & Young Masons; The Clwb Colonnade Club and The UGLE Universities
It was inspiring to see so many delegates in attendance, each giving up their Saturday morning to take part. Their commitment reflects the proactive approach being taken across the Province to ensure Lodges are equipped to plan effectively, attract new members, engage more deeply, and support those at risk of disengaging.
The morning concluded with a lively and insightful Q&A session, filled with thoughtful and meaningful questions from the floor, showing just how engaged and invested our members are in the future of Freemasonry.
Special thanks go to our Learning and Development Officer, W.Bro. Simon Francis, for organising this extremely productive event, and to Bridgend Masonic Hall for hosting us and providing excellent refreshments and those ever-essential biscuits!
