Almoners – The Eyes and Ears of the Lodge – Saturday September 13th, Bridgend Masonic Hall

Dear Brother / Companion,

The Learning and Development Team are delighted to host our second training morning for the Lodge and Chapter Almoner. This follows on from the previous session held last year, which was so well received and it was obvious there was an appetite for more . Both Craft and Chapter Almoners are encouraged to attend but the event is open to all; as is often said ‘we are all Almoners’, so if you care please come along. The seminar will again be held at Bridgend Masonic Hall on the morning of Saturday 13th of September, 2025.

The Provincial Almoners and their Provincial Team will facilitate the seminar and there will also be presentations by Shelley Owen the Business Relationship Manager of The Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court and Mike Martin the Provincial Engagement Manager at the Masonic Charitable Foundation, London.

Shelley Owen’s presentation will include

  • Eligibility and Entry Requirements
  • Fees and Funding Streams
  • Types of Care and Support Provided

Mike Martin’s Presentation will include

  • Role of the Lodge Almoner
  • Eligibility for MCF Assistance
  • Types of MCF Assistance Available
  • MCF Assistant Application Process etc.

The presentation will commence at 9.30am, tea and coffee will be served mid-morning and the session will conclude at approximately 12.30pm.
