On 20th March 2026, members of the Aberdare Association of Freemasons demonstrated their commitment to charity by undertaking a sponsored bicycle ride in support of the TLC (Teddies for Loving Care) appeal.
Brothers Steven Williams and Paul Hancock, both of Aberpennar Lodge, alongside Worshipful Brother Robert Murphy, Chairman of the Aberdare Association, completed a 32-mile round trip from Aberdare Masonic Hall to Neath Masonic Hall and back.
Thanks to the generosity of the brethren of the Aberdare Association, as well as support from local Lodges and friends, an impressive total of £1,265 was raised. These funds will be used to purchase TLC teddy bears, which are given to children entering hospital to help reduce stress and anxiety during what can often be a difficult time.
The event was well supported, with members of Neath Lodge offering encouragement along the way.
