On the 17th of May, the Aberdare Association of Freemasons hosted another successful fundraising charity night in support of Air Ambulance Wales, this time held at the Constitutional Club, Aberdare. The event was well attended, with 61 guests enjoying an evening of fellowship, entertainment, and fundraising.
The night featured a delightful performance by the local group, Highly Strung String Band, adding a lively and engaging atmosphere to the proceedings. Guests were treated to a delicious two-course meal, followed by a raffle and an auction of several generously donated items.
Throughout the year, additional funds were raised with the support of all the Lodges in Aberdare. A further contribution was made by Fforest Lodge, Treharris, helping to boost the final total.
The evening culminated in the presentation of a cheque for £2,199 to Mr. Christian Sullivan, Regional Fundraising Manager for Air Ambulance Wales. The photograph captures Worshipful Brother Robert Murphy, Chairman of the Association, alongside his wife Shan, and Worshipful Brother David Cooper with his wife Andre, presenting the cheque.
The Chairman would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to and supported this very worthy cause.
