2032 Festival Reaching New Heights!

Saturday 23rd May, W.Bro. Dr. Rheinallt Morgan completed a remarkable 10,000ft tandem skydive at Swansea Airport.

This incredibly daring feat was undertaken not only to celebrate his 40th birthday, but also to raise funds in support of the South Wales 2032 Festival.

Reflecting on the experience, W.Bro. Rheinallt said:
“A skydive has been on my list of hobbies to try for many years. The combination of a significant birthday, as well as the opportunity for charitable fundraising, made it all the more memorable. I was reassured by the positive experiences of an old school friend who became a freefall photographer at the same skydiving school, it is a close-knit community.

The combination of pure adrenaline (and dare I say, terror!) during the 125mph freefall phase and the overwhelming relief when the canopy opened at 6,000ft, together with wide-ranging views across South Wales in perfect weather conditions, made it an exhilarating experience.”

Having attended the investiture of a friend as a Provincial Grand Steward in Cheshire in 2024, Rheinallt was inspired further after hearing that their Provincial Grand Master was planning a skydive in support of their own Festival appeal.

He added:
“We can all be reassured by the frequent and significant donations made to local charities through Festival fundraising. Knowing that 25% of proceeds return directly to our own Province makes supporting the Festival even more worthwhile.”

A member of Singleton Lodge No. 8399, South Wales Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No. 8900, Colonnade Chapter No. 7305 and Chapter of Hope No. 60, Rheinallt is actively involved in both Craft and Royal Arch Freemasonry.
