One Week to Go – Provincial Grand Master’s Installation Meeting

Dear Sir and Brother,

I write to provide important information for Brethren attending the Provincial Grand Master’s Installation Meeting on Wednesday the 11th day of February 2026 at Holland House Hotel & Spa, 24–26 Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 0DD. Please read the following carefully, as it explains how the day will run.

We are delighted to confirm that we have received over 500 online registrations for the meeting, which is close to the maximum capacity of the venue.

1. Arrival at the Venue

  • The doors at the hotel will open at 11.30 a.m.
  • Brethren are kindly requested not to arrive before this time, as access will not be possible while final preparations are completed.

No tickets are required.

On arrival, Brethren should proceed directly to the registration desk to:

  • collect their souvenir Order of Procedure
  • collect their commemorative lapel pin

2. Seating, Dress and Regalia

  • Brethren must be seated by 12.15 p.m.
  • Provincial Grand Lodge will open at 12.30 p.m., for the Installation of the new Provincial Grand Master.

There will be no changing or robing areas available. Brethren are therefore asked to attend as they would for an Annual Meeting and to bring regalia in a bag, which can be stowed under their seat.

Seating in the main body of the hall will be unallocated, and Brethren are invited to find a seat and make themselves comfortable.

Designated seating areas will be provided for:

  • visiting Executive Officers from Kindred Provinces
  • Grand Officers
  • Brethren with access requirements

These areas will be clearly marked; individual seats will not be allocated. Stewards will be available to assist.

Brethren are reminded to wear appropriate dress and regalia. Brethren are also requested to wear the new Provincial tie, which will be available for purchase in the lobby. Provincial Grand Stewards (Craft and Royal Arch), present and past, are invited to purchase and wear the crimson tie.

The use of mobile phones and photography during the meeting will not be permitted.

3. After the Meeting and Luncheon

Following the meeting, Brethren with dining reservations should proceed directly to Cardiff Masonic Hall.

To clarify:

  • Brethren are booked for luncheon if they selected meal options and completed payment during the online booking process.
  • A total of 300 Brethren will dine.
  • Unfortunately, it will not be possible to accommodate additional diners on the day.

At Cardiff Masonic Hall:

  • the bar will open at 2.00 p.m.
  • luncheon will commence at 3.00 p.m.

Seating plans will be in place, and Brethren are kindly requested to follow the direction of the Stewards.

4. General

Given the size of the event, Brethren are asked to allow sufficient time throughout the day and to follow any instructions given by Provincial Officers and Stewards.

The Provincial Grand Master designate looks forward to welcoming you on 11th and thanks you for your continued support. If you have any queries in advance of the meeting, please contact the Provincial Office by email at office@nullprovince.org.uk.;

Fraternally yours,

W.Bro. Ben Gait, AGSec
