50 years service celebrated at Lodge of St Ilan No. 6624

On Tuesday, 12th March, 2024, AProvGM, W. Bro. Robert. G Payne was delighted to join the Brethren of Lodge of St Ilan No. 6624, Caerphilly to celebrate and commemorate, W.Bro. Gordon Charles Shepperd who recently achieved 50 years service in Craft Freemasonry.

W.Bro. Gordon’s journey began on the 9th of January, 1974, when he was initiated in Owain Glyndwr Lodge No. 8015, which sadly handed back it’s warrant in November 2016.
W.Bro. Gordon progressed through the various offices attaining the Chair of King Solomon in 1980, and again in 1988 and 2013. He has been a loyal, dedicated, committed, and hard-working Freemason, appointed as Lodge Charity Steward from 1994 to 1998 and again from 2003 to 2016, becoming a joining member of Lodge of St. Ilan 6624, in June 2017. In Provincial Grand Lodge he was Appointed Provincial Grand Senior Deacon in 1986, Promoted to Past Provincial Grand Registrar in 1994, and Promoted to Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 2011. He is a respected member of Lodge of St Ilan, always on hand to advise and educate the junior Brethren as they set out on their Masonic journey.
