Tour of the Province, Day 3

For the final and day 3 of the Tercentenary Events Committee, Tour of the Province bike ride, W.Bro Simon Francis and W.Bro Tim Clark are joined by W.Bro Richard Owen, Bro Gary Cairnes and W.Bro Elwyn Marfell Jones.

Leaving Swansea at 07.00, the riders visit the Masonic Halls at Bridgend, Cowbridge, Pontyclun, Penarth, Barry, Llantwit Major and Porthcawl before finishing at the The Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court in time for the annual Strawberry Tea – a total of 130km!

The team arrive at Bridgend Masonic Hall at 09.00 for a short 20 minute break before setting off towards Cowbridge.

Arriving at Cowbridge at 09.53 then off to Pontyclun

Making good time… the riders get to the Masonic Temple in Pontyclun by 10.25. Next stop Penarth.

Pitstop at the Tercentenary Events Committee Chairman, W.Bro Akram Baig’s house for coffee, tea and biscuits.

Refreshed after the pitstop, the riders arrive at the Masonic Hall in Penarth at 12.30 before setting off again towards Barry. Four down, three to go!

Arrived at Llantwit Major 14.40… now Porthcawl!

A quick stop at the Masonic Hall, Porthcawl at 15.55 before setting off for the finish line and some strawberries and cream!

3 Days of Cycling, 380km Total Distance, 3000m Total Climbing, visiting the 23 Masonic Centres of the Province – well done Brethren!
